Over the last 10 years, C.M. Keefer has written over 75 children’s poems, published a chapbook titled "Lessons from Exile" (Finishing Line Press), and has written a handful of newer efforts he would like to bring to life!

A card-carrying product of the 80’s, Keefer has successfully brainwashed his children (and many others) to accept that a-ha’s “Take On Me” is the greatest music video of all time . . . and that Johnny Lawrence and Ivan Drago were not movie villains, but rather simply misunderstood sports competitors.

While he’s no longer able to ride his sweet Mongoose bike on busy highways until dark like he did as a child, Keefer still loves sharing poems inspired by those most awesome times, and the family, friends, teachers, coaches, television, films, and video games who helped shape his whimsically twisted mind.

Keefer’s poems are love letters to Shel Silverstein, Watty Piper, Ogden Nash, and Dr. Seuss, and a testament to the countless hours during his childhood reading their poetry books . . . as well as clinical evidence of his arrested development.

As C.M. Keefer's Illustrator and Animator Kaila Knight is tasked with bringing color to paper to showcase a wide range of family- oriented tales. Working side by side they are ready to bring the new generation a set of poems that is a must at every night side table!

Kaila graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in animation. In addition to illustrating books, Kaila is currently working as a designer for the Walt Disney Company, you can find her work on numerous shirts and Disney products on Amazon.
